July 17, 2015

Have you heard the news, Quantico residents? Stafford recently witnessed the debut of the town's first-ever dog park! Located within Duff McDuff Green Memorial Park, the dog park (a.k.a. "Duff's Dog Park") opened in early June and offers 22,500 square feet of room for dogs of all sizes to roam, romp, and socialize.

There are two separate areas of the park, one for small dogs (<30 lbs) and one for larger dogs (>30 lbs). Each area is outfitted with water bowls, leash posts, and plenty of benches for pet parents. The park is open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily, so be sure to stop by!

While we're talking about pet-friendly spots near Quantico, did you know that the Potomac Point Vineyard & Winery accommodates wine enthusiasts and their four-legged friends? Dogs are permitted in the winery's tasting room, where pet parents can sip a flight of the vineyard's varietals for just $7.

Tell us, Quantico pet owners: What are some of your favorite dog-friendly spots in the area?
