Want to get in the harvest spirit, Quantico? Whether you're seeking a family-friendly autumnal outing of pumpkin picking, or you're seeking scary-spooky fun of a haunted hayride, these six local farms are worth a visit!
Belvedere Plantation: This 645-acre historic working farm offers many attractions as part of its annual Fall Harvest Festival: a corn maze, pumpkin patch, hayrides, barnyard animals, pony rides, pig races, and much more.

Clark's Farm: Open daily between Sept. 19 and Nov 1., Clark's Farm's Fall Festival promises family-friendly activities such as face and pumpkin painting, barnyard animals, pumpkin bowling, and weekend pony rides. Note that there's an admission fee here.

Great Country Farms: A 200-acre working farm just outside Bluemont, the family-owned Great Country Farms draws a crowd with pick-your-own apples and pumpkins, corn mazes, a Cow Pie Putt Putt Course, and wagon rides.

Braehead Farm: Established in 1937, Braehead Farm is open daily to delight visitors with pick-your-own pumpkins and photo ops with “The Great Pumpkin” (weekends during the month of October).

Sneads Asparagus Farm: There's more than just asparagus at this family-owned farm in Fredericksburg. From Sept. 25 through Nov. 1, the farm is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily to host its annual Fall Festival. Stop by the farm to feed the chickens, pick (and decorate) your own pumpkin, enjoy a hayride, and traverse the 4-acre sunflower maze. Admission is $5 for visitors 3 and up.
Cox Farms: By day, Cox Farms is a family-friendly spot to enjoy farm animals and hayrides, but by night, the farm takes on a new, spooky persona as Fields of Fear. Every Friday and Saturday night in October, Cox Farms devotes 20 acres to "haunted" attractions, like a scary corn maze and a hayride through a zombie zoo.
