Taking Place Dec. 12: Wreaths Across America Remembrance Ceremony at the Quantico National Cemetery
December 1, 2015
For many, the holiday season is a time to be thankful for friends and family — but what about loved ones who are no longer with us? That's part of the reason behind the Wreaths Across America Remembrance Ceremony.
This annual wreath-laying ceremony, which takes place at the Quantico National Cemetery, gives members of the general public — and residents of Quantico — a chance to remember loved ones who lost their lives in the line of duty, as well as honor our nation's veterans. The event will begin with a memorial ceremony, followed by the distribution of wreaths to attendees (up to three wreaths per person). Attendees will then be invited to place the wreaths at the grave site of their choosing.
Free to attend and open to the public, this year's Wreaths Across America Remembrance Ceremony will take place at 11:55 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, meeting at Shelter D.
