There's nothing as fun or as all-American as a county fair, and lucky for you, there are a ton in the DMV area. Here are all of the county fairs coming up this summer.

• Prince William County Fair
  When: August 11-19, 2017
  Where: Prince William County Fairgrounds (10624 Dumfries Road, Manassas)
  Enjoy all-day wine tastings, mechanical bull rides, a pet show and a baby contest at the Prince William County Fair. One Admission Adult Ticket $10 One Admission Child/Senior Ticket $6 Ride wristbands: Weekdays: $18 Sun 8/13: $22 Fri 8/18: $20 Sat 8/19: $22 Specials: Tickets are half price on Half Price Night—Aug 14th. FREE GATE ADMISSION. 2-5pm only on Tues, Aug 15th. Ladies admitted FREE on Ladies Night—Aug 16th. Children 4 and under and Active Military admitted FREE daily.
• THE DISTRICT D.C. "State" Fair
  When: September 24, 2017
  Where: Waterfront Metro Station (375 and 425 M streets SW)
  Enjoy most of the fun of a county fair right in the city. Arts and crafts vendors, a pet parade, contests and food vendors converge for a day of fun to showcase the area's "agricultural and artistic talents." The fair's been held in many different locations since its first annual event in 2010, and this year heads to the Southwest Waterfront.
• Arlington County Fair
  When: August 16-20, 2017
  Where: Thomas Jefferson Community Center, 3501 S. Second St., Arlington, VA. (703) 920-4556.
  Pig and goat races, pony rides, carnival rides, international foods, crafts. Free Admission.
